StitchGrid accepts JPEG, PNG, HEIC, and most standard formats from your iPhone photo library. For best results, use clear images with a distinct subject.
You can choose from 50×50 to 100×100. Smaller grids suit simple motifs; larger ones work for detailed, complex patterns.
Focus Mode highlights your current row while dimming all others. Use the row selector to jump anywhere in the chart.
Saved stitch charts are viewable offline and Generating chart are offline but generating AI images require internet.

StitchGrid is designed with your privacy at its core. We do not collect personal data, we do not track you, and your stitch charts stay on your device.

1. No Personal Data Collection

StitchGrid does not require an account, name, email address, or any personally identifying information. We do not collect, store, or share personal data.

2. Data That Stays on Your Device

Your stitch charts, app preferences, and project data are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and never leave your device unless you explicitly share them.

  • Stitch charts and generated grids — stored locally

  • Uploaded images — processed locally, not retained on servers

3. AI Image Generation

How AI Generation Works

StitchGrid uses a third-party AI service to generate images based on user input. When you enter a prompt, the text is sent to this service to generate the requested image. No personal information is required to use this feature. The data shared is limited to the text prompt provided by you.

What is shared

Only the text prompt you type (e.g. "chubby smiling puppy") is sent to the AI service — used solely to generate the image, and not linked to any personal identity.

What is not shared

  • Your name or identity
  • Your device information
  • Your location
  • Any other personal data

Third-party AI provider

The AI image generation service is provided by a third party. Their handling of prompt data is governed by their own privacy policy.

4. Image Uploads

When you upload a photo to generate a stitch chart, the image is processed to produce your chart. Uploaded images are not stored on our servers.

5. No Tracking or Analytics

StitchGrid does not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics SDKs, or any cross-app tracking technology. We do not build a profile of your behaviour or share data with advertisers.

6. In-App Purchases

Any purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.

7. Children's Privacy

StitchGrid is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the date above. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use StitchGrid for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the app
  • Reverse engineer or extract source code
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Use automated tools to interact with the app

3. User Content

Images you upload

You retain ownership of images you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to generate your stitch chart.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any image you upload. Do not upload images you don't have permission to use, or that contain illegal content.

AI-generated images

Images created with our AI generator are yours to use for personal projects. You agree not to use them to create harmful or deceptive content.

4. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, code, and features are owned by StitchGrid and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any part of the app.

5. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. We do not store your payment information. Purchases are generally non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

StitchGrid is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or that generated charts will be suitable for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StitchGrid shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
